1 New Tire + 1 bald tire = Scraping sound?

I just swaped a new front left 19" wheel / tire on my coupe. The front right tire is completely bald and needs to be replaced. I noticed that ever since I changed the new rim/tire on there I heard a scraping noise sometimes at low speed while driving. It comes and goes. I am planning on replacing both front tires today anyway, but was wondering if anyone knows that a heavily mismatched front set of tires would cause the rotors/brakes/whatever to scrape in some instances. Hopefully it will go away after the new tires are on.

I don't think there should be any scraping sounds. I wonder if the vdc is detecting one wheel going faster than the other and doing something. I wouldn't think so. I would look closely at the inner fender and the tire for evidence of rubbing. Is the new wheel aftermarket?
