My final Works VS-XX for Sedan thread -offset help needed please

So the local dealer for Fox RS3 rims I was dead set on buying when I came back from FL was being quite rude in his pre-sales attitude. Anyways that deal is off.

I should have bought the Works rims when my friend had me buy his in the states

Anyways i've had it with looking around. Im firm now on the 19" Works VS-XX rims in the Gold color option. I went over the application chart on their site for offsets and didn't see +38 or +45 listed on the deep dish rims.

1. I want to run 19 x 8.5 front +38 and 19 x 9.5 +45 rear. This is their offset guide:

(see attached pic)

My offsets are not listed. Closest is +36 and +42.

What should I run so the rims are flush and do you know if Works makes these wheels custom?

2. I have stock brakes which are not brembo. Any issues with deep dish rims with stock non brembo brakes?

The offsets are most imp because the wheels get shipped from Japan and take a total of 3 weeks. Incorrect fitment means im SOL

Thanks.

The 9.5+42 has a 3" lip, which is the best you are going to be able to do. If +45 is a must, the your only other option is to go with a standard disk 9.5+45 with a 2.5" lip. For the front, your options are even more limited, not sure if an 0-disk will clear the front caliper but a 8.5+42 would be your best bet if it does, and that has a 2.5" lip. If a standard a-disk is needed, then your only options are +45 with a 2" lip, or +32 with a 2.5" lip. My guess is you'll need a standard A-disk setup for the front.

I should post a quote a local dealer was kind enough to give me:

VS-XX - Gold

G35 Sedan

F/ 19x8.0+38(A) w/ 245/40-19

R/ 19x8.0+38(A) or 19x8.0+36(O) w/ 245/40-19

with that the front lips is around 2 inches and rear 2.5

a 19x8(a) +38 will have the same outer lip position as a 19x8.5+45, but with a wider wheel which will fit the 245 better. It will actually provide more outer clearance as the tire will be centered further inside of the wheelwell by .25" while being "stretched" over a wider wheel. For the rear, a 19x8(o)+36 has the same outer position as a 9.5(a)+45 or a 9.5(o)+55, both which will allow you to run a wider tire, so you should go for one of those instead, or step up to a 9.5(o)+42 like i suggested

So to conclude:

Front: 19x8.5+45 is better than 19x8(a) +38 as it provides wider well for tires? Wont the +45 rub though the front fender?

Rear: 19x9.5(o)+42 is the best option possibly on 275 tires.

The fronts I am sure will work as far as clearance is concerned, but you have to verify if an odisk clears the front caliper, the rears will likely require a fender roll to run the 9.5 +42, but thats not a big deal.

I will run the A disk in the front as Ive been told 0 disk wont clear front brakes.

Is there really much of a difference between 9.5 +42 and +45 in the rear as I was told no rolling needed for +45?

BTW Thanks a lot for your input - really appreciate it.

The main differences for the rear between a +42 and a +45 is the +42 is using an o disk, and you get an extra 1/2" of lip. The +45 uses an a disk and only has a 2.5" lip. IMO going with the +42 and rolling is a better choice, but that would be up to you in the end.

if you are not going to slam your car, id say you try for the 19x10 o-disk +36 for the rear. There are a few sedans here running 20x10 +40 offsets in the rear, and the wheels are pretty flush with the fender. I'm sure +36 will be fine
