What tires to get, and where to get them?

I have 37,000mi. on my OEM Potenzas, and im 'slipping' around everywhere now.

i like the look of the BFG KDW, but they dont make them in the right size for the fronts.

Will the rear tires fit on the front wheels? if so, ill just get the KDW's in 245/19's(?) or whatever they are, all-around.

Or is there a better brand out there?

I'd like a cool looking tread pattern, but also a quiet ride wouldnt hurt, although the Potenzas are about as quiet as you can get probably.

And should i buy them from a place like tirerack, or is it better to just go to BIG O or Discount tire??

thanks.

have a look at the Nitto Invo's, purported to be very quiet, aggressive looking tread and non directional. Prolly be my next set when my Potenza's need replacing. panda007 has a short review here on G35driver.

falken 452's. It's a lot smoother than the Potenza that come with the stock 19's.

yeah, i saw those NITTO's in a car mag, they look cool.

would this be the size i would need...

http://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...52&rd=19&ar=40

i think those would fit the rear stock 19's, but can they also fit on the fronts too?

^Those are great tires, Massive amounts of tread compaired to the SP2's I was using (abotu double)

I need better tires because I'm putting down 355 to the wheel now,

But even at that, they barely break loose at the end of 1st gear, juust at the last 1000 rpms. (19's 9.5)

I'm planning on getting General Exclaim tires next. I've heard nothing but good reviews. On top of it they only cost between $115-125 for 245/30/19 - 275/30/19.

After doing tons of research, I came to that conclusion as well and am getting 452's. Great price, and everyone seems to love them.

Falken Tires!

Falken fk452's, the best tread wear and performance. I valet and have driving every sports car around and these still manage to feel like driving on super glue. Falken Azenis grip even a little better but get pricy.

Falken FK-452 is a great tire for the money and they are made in Japan as well. Discount Tire Direct has free shipping.

+1!! I have Toyo Proxies TR-1s too. Very nice tire!!

If you have the 19" OEM rims, you can go with the following sizes:

245/35 -19 front
275/35 -19 rear

You'll have a fatter tire on the rims. Less understeer, and better traction out back. The sizes will not mess with the VDC either.

I have the BFG KDW's on my car right now. I have 245/35/19 X 285/35/19 and so far they are great tires. They handle real good but they do have a rumble to them when you are driving so they aren't the quietest tires for sure. I wish I could have gotten a bigger sidewall size tire but they aren't available in that size, imo I wouldn't get the tires I would go with the new NIttos or the Falkenz, they are great tires.

sweet, so i can actually run larger tires on my stock wheels, and cause no harm?

cool.

the Falken's look kinda plain jane on the tread pattern though.

the new NITTO's look funky, but i really had my heart set on those KDW's...bummer about them being loud.
