LOWERED W/ 20"

I didn't know whether to put this in the wheels& tire forum, but this question is only for sedans. I'm looking for pictures of sedans with 20" wheels and lowered more than likely with eibach springs. Also to see if there's any problems with rubbing. I want to see how well the drop would be, if there is still a gap between the fender and the tire. Thanks in advance.

Re: LOWERED W/ 20"

Take a look at my profile. I don't rub at all with my current setup.

Hey! Gdupg35 glad to hear your car doesn't rub anymore. Did you change the springs to sprint or are you still using eibach? www.msnusers.com/nosg35

Re: LOWERED W/ 20"

I still have the Eibach's. I don't rub in the fenderwell. What I thought was some rubbing was just the front end hitting the ground going over one of those huge speed bumps.

I may still switch to Sprints in the future for a little stiffer setup.

Re: LOWERED W/ 20"

I believe they are a 42 offset. I had 8.5" wide wheels before with a 38 offset and my fenders ended up getting all bent and chopped up my tires a bit. I really can't visually tell the difference between the 8" wide wheels and the 8.5" wheel. It's just nice not having to worry about tearing up fenders anymore.

Re: LOWERED W/ 20"

Where were you rubbing with your old setup? Front or rear, and what size tire were you using? Thanks.

Re: LOWERED W/ 20"

YES. I thought at first it was just the Infiniti Nose mask that was causing the problem. After removing the nose mask, I also removed the screw/snap that hold the nose mask on at at the top center portion of the fenders, and it still seemed to rub if you went in to parking lots at anything but a crawl.

My previous setup was a 20x8.5" rim with a 38 offset. Now I'm running 20x8" with a 42 offset. (It may be a 40 offset, I forget.) Whatever it is, there is NO rubbing now.

I never had a problem with the rear at all and have had the car aligned to very close to factory specs.

I wouldn't risk an 8.5" wheel in front with the car dropped. It might work with a 45 offset, but I didn't want to take the chance again.

Like I mentioned, I can't really tell any difference at all in the new and old widths and offset on my sedan.

My old rims (which are still for sale by the way) have no rubbing issues on non-dropped G sedans according to the member "gaklid" He had the same wheels and tires minus the drop.

Oh yeah, my tires are 245/35 all the way around.
