Can I swap rear tire brands??

I need to replace the rear winter tires (fronts still have plenty of tread). Problem is I can't find the same brand as the fronts for the rear now.

Can I use another brand for the rear than what is already on the front? What do you guys think of just replacing rears if the fronts are ok in general?

^+1 Select something you can get the matching fronts too in the future as well.

thanks - so you guys think just changing out rears for winter is ok? It is not for cost reasons but it seems like a waste to change out all 4 when the fronts have plenty left.

You'll be fine, just make sure they're the appropriate size. Do a search for those answers.

You should be fine. Most Coupe owners have the same issue with the fronts lasting longer. I've been going that route for years.
