Winter Tires and Wheels

I'm planning to drive my coupe this winter when the snow is plowed and the weather isn't too bad. I was thinking between these wheels, do you think the wider is better? I'm not really asking about looks or diametre but rather what width would be better for winter wheels. I have my mind set on the 17s however. I have the H-Techs I hope that isn't too low for the winter.

RTX 155 - Silver 7.5"

Kosei Sniper Wheels 8"

OE Replica Mustang Cobra R Wheels 9"

I'm planning on running the Bridgestone Blizzak WS-60 Tires. 225-245/40 or 60?/17. Any suggestions? Last question, is it okay if I move away from the staggered set-up for the winter?

Narrower tires are better for winter, and I would personally run the narrowest wheel that worse with those width tires. If you are going to be running 225 widths, I would use the 7.5 or 8" wheels, whichever is cheaper. 9" is going to need a minimum of a 235/245 which is not an ideal size for winter tires

^ what he said. Wider is good for dry. But worse for snow.

Do you think it would be better to use 7" wheels then?

Running on 215/55/17, does this look better?

7" is fine, I run 17x7 on 225/50/17 and 235/50/17

You willing to buy used?

Rears might be a TAD short but should work. There are more than a few guys selling their winter wheel/tire setups right now
