US made tires

I seached but had no luck finding out what I wanted to know....yes I even "googled"

I just want to know which major tire company manufactures tires in the USA. I know some companies have factories all over the planet. If anyone can add their 2 cents....I'd appreciate it, Thanks

Bridgestone is Japanese and has 'owned' Firestone for some time now.
I'm sure they make tires all over the globe.
More American-made only brands might be Cooper and some specialty racing tires.

The reason I'm asking for tires made in the US, is that I don't have to pay duty on them when I bring em back from the US to Canada.....heck is there any good tires made in Mexico?
For those of you who do not know, there is free trade between Canada/US/ & Mexico....and since the Can$ is worth more than the US buck, and since goods in the US is a lot cheaper(lower priced) it's great being a Canadian shopper I'm gonna shop til I drop

Hoosier also makes their tires in the US, but those probably aren't what you're looking for.

The duty on European or Asian made tires won't be that bad - should only be about 5%

Every tire has a factory code plus week of manufacture on the sidewall.

There are 120+ US tire factories [trucks and cars]

I suspect he is looking for tires made exclusively in the US. But I may be wrong.
Only Cooper and American Racing come to mind. But the list should help.
