Re: Spinners/Dubs

There was a black coupe with spinners in a magazine a couple of months ago. It was a "dubs" type mag, not tuner type. There are quite a few people with 20s and they look good but the spinners looked like hell.

I know most people on the forum hate them, but I'm just asking for a brave soul to stand out.

I wouldn't describe that as "brave". More like extremely bad taste. I agree, you'll "stand out"...like a turd in the punch bowl.

JUST SAY NO TO SPINNERS!!!

Re: Spinners/Dubs

Well now, that might be a little harsh. Let's not all jump in and criticize what we consider bad taste. If anyone has an answer to his question, go ahead.

Re: Spinners/Dubs

OK, here's my car with a set of "dubs".

I'm looking to have them replaced towards the end of the year with a new set of Kerry's.

Sorry, I couldn't resist either.

We really don't need to make this a political thread, we've already been warned once.

Re: Spinners/Dubs

I would have to think a set of spinners would weigh around 30 lbs a piece for 18's, and I don't even want to think about how much the 20's weigh.

Re: Spinners/Dubs

Spinners can be fairly heavy. They definitely do not offer any sort of performance advantage but i suppose you could be one of the first to try them out on the G. Who knows, maybe you can change the opinions of some of the board members.

I havent heard of any issues with them "flying" off or anything of the sort.
