Wheel studs
I tried searching, but came up empty.
Have any of you replaced wheel studs on the G35 yet? I've done it on other cars not too bad, but I wonder how it is on the G.

Its not to bad at all really...
have to remove the caliper / rotor and then you can tap them out / pull them through the hub...
Do you already have the studs?
Are you using OE length or extended hub bolts?

Thats what I figured. No I haven't picked up the studs yet. I would use OEM's not extended.
I have no problem doing it myself, but its starting to get cold. The local infiniti dealership is asking for $150 for one stud.

are the studs what you screw the lug nuts into? my rims recently got attempted-stolen and so my lock was halfway screwed out and it was jammed in there so i couldnt screw it back in or out. so right now i have 3 out of the 5 studs and when i called a shop he was asking 60 bucks for each stud and to install it would be somewhere in the 100s for each stud!

Its totally labor time. When I did it you rent out the stud puller and bam its done. The problem is my nut is spinning on the bolt and I don't want to split it to get it off.

Rotors....
hate them.
I changed my rear brakes recently the rotors were a mother's *** to try and take off. It took a half a can of WD40 and a rubber mallet to get it off. I was just about to give up when all of a sudden it slide off by itself. I used some anti-seize lubricant let's see how it works out.
The stud puller makes it easy. Especially now in the winter there is a ton of contraction going on further making it difficult. Keep in mind here in the NE we are at about high 20's into 30's.
Jay I will definitely get back to you. Perhaps to buy other parts too. I may need to get front brake pads and rotors as well. OEM.
