The story of my OEM 18" rims.

Well, I finally took it in. My car looks like **** with these ricer rims and no drop.

Just not cutting it...

So since I sold my OEM 18" for 850 dollars =). I got a new, used set for alot cheaper. These rims needed HELP. They had bremboitis. A bad case.

No one could help me, and Infiniti wanted 400 to refinish all 4 rims. **** THAT I said. I decided to do a little work of my own.

These rims had curb rash up the ***. I went to home depot, bought some bondo, and sandpaper. =). I dont have pictures of the process.. But heres the sanded, bondo'ed rim. you can see the 2 bondo spots at the top.

Why not repaint all 4 rims? A COOL COLOR TOO!!! OEM color, but a few shades darker.
So I sanded all 4 rims. why not.. what the hell, im up for a challenge.

I dont have the color yet, so I decided to start working. Here is a masked off rim and a primed rim. Notice, no more curb rash or deep scratches.

Here are 3 primed rims. I had to go to work so i couldnt finish the last one.

I WILL UPDATE AS I GO. thanks for looking

sweeeeet, I'll have a closer look. By the way what wheel paint are you going with ?

EDIT: just saw your Vette post..... you bastard palm trees, Vette's, G's and sunny weather! do you know that it rains 10 months out of the year here where I live, and every summer we're lucky if we get 2 weeks of continuous sunshine and temps above 30 degrees celsuis.... dammit

Ha dude; same thing can be said about Vancouver. Do you know it is -40C outside; and everyone was saying global warming finally hit us when we had -6C in January! Haha, I would gladly trade in the open skies for some rain; given it isn't -50C outside haha.

Wasn't there a good DIY on an audi forum or porsche forum for fixing damaged wheels? I want to do the same. . .

Good job so far!
