Just got my front two tires replaced today with these Ultrac Sessanta's. I am impressed with these tires. Keep in mind I haven't logged many miles yet. But, I will say that the sidewalls are not mushy and they are SUPER QUIET. On top of that I like the look of the tread pattern. The stretched look that was present with OEM tires is no longer there. For reference I picked them up for $221 a piece (225/40/19). Once my rear tires (Bridgestone RE050) wear out I'll pick up another pair.

Looks like there are more size options than when these tires were first discovered? We now have options like:

...Front...
245/35/19
255/35/19
265/30/19

...Rear...
275/35/19
295/30/19

But no 285/35/19

I looked at these but did not buy for two reasons. 1) the tread rating was pretty low. Although I found them on ebay in 245/35 20 and 275/30 20 for something like $650-680 I just felt they'd wear too fast. 2) The tread pattern. I don't understand how they can shed water properly. Since the tread pattern is only molded in one direction (not a right and a left) which is just flip flopped. One appears it would shed water while the other would force water under the tire. How does this work? The side wall looks pretty nice.

Just wondering...for anyone who has had these tires for a while now...how is the tire holding up? Has it gotten louder? If so, how much louder? how many miles do you have? Again, just wondering how these are holding up after at least a few thousan miles and up. Thanks for any inputs.

I had them on the rear for roughly 5k miles

Very pleased with the tires. Much better then Toyos

The only thing I don't like about them is that they are a BITCH to detail.
I don't really like the soaking wet look like OP got. I like tires to look shiny and fresh instead of wet so I detail them with gel and it is a fvcking bitch to apply it on that sidewall. I have to do it in a vertical motion, it take forever.

Also another thing I noticed is that these tires have very poor traction on painted lines/arrows and other signs on the pavement. Especially in wet condition.
That is something I did not notice with Toyo.

And by saying "poor" I mean it's close to ice scatting type of poor. Car just starts to slide like a mother fucker if you hit a big arrow or something else painted on the road.

You can check out some more reviews on this site

If you think 280 tread rating is low you should look again at the RE050A's 140.
It one of the hightest tread rating in ultra high performance tires. Michelin PS2 is 220, Bridgestone RE050A is just 140 and Toyo T1R is 280. The only tires i can think of that has higher tread rating is Falken 452's 300 and Kumho Ecsta SPT's 320.

Tread rating 280 isn't low.
