wondering if i need 2 drop my g

I want 2 order some 20x8.5 in the front and 20x10 in the rear. I don't want to drop it and the guy selling me wheels says i should go with 245/35 front and 295/30 in the rear. would that be ok? does anybody have pics of this set up or is he just trying to sell me wheels?

your front is going to be higher than stock with a 245/35/20, I would go 245/30/20 or 255/30/20 instead and of course a drop is a must

You always need a drop, whether stock or aftermarket wheels. Yes.

YES REDLUDE97 and I have had this discussion before. 255/30/20 and 285/30/20 is the way to go...

245/40/19 is 26.7" tall.

front
245/35/20 is 26.8” tall a 2.6% difference
245/30/20 is 25.8" tall a 1.1% difference
255/30/20 is 26.0" tall a -.2% difference – very close

rear
275/35/20 is 27.6" tall a 3.2% difference
275/30/20 is 26.5" tall a -.8% difference
285/30/20 is 26.7" tall a .1% difference – very close

based on this new info I would say a 255/30/20 and 285/30/20 is your best bet on a 9” and 10” rim respectively. Like I said each tire varies slightly and these numbers might not apply to the brand of tire you get, so ask before you buy.
if you get 285/30/20 you will have about a 1.7" gap on the rear tires with stock springs.
