really bad tire eating problem

I was wondering if anybody might be able to give me an idea as to why my 04 coupe goes through tires so fast.

I've only put about 13k miles on it since I've had it, but I've already gone through 3 sets of rear tires. I don't ever do any donuts or launches or burnouts or anything of the sort, but my tires go bald way too fast. I did get in a wreck where I messed up the rear axle and control arms but I don't know if the guy did a poor repair or something which is causing this.

The other possibility is that I have never gotten the wheels aligned since I've had it. Could that be the cause of the problem?

yes, the lack of alignment can cause faster wear in tires. Have you tried different brands of tires??? maybe your just buying a poor tire

Is the wear pattern even across the tire, or does it go bald in bands - along the middle, inside or outside edges?

If you have some sort of wear pattern it will tell you what is happening to your tires and what's wrong with your alignment.

If I remember correctly I think that the middle started to go first but now the entire tire is completely bald

I dunno if this helps but my buddy works at infiniti porche and has worked on plenty g35's he told me that they eat up tires like crazy. So your alignment might be helping this but i believe it is a problem with the g35 in general.
