how do change the front tires?

from my experience, my front tires do not lock with the parking brake...

is that the way it is supposed to be? if so, how are we supposed to change the front tires in the event of a flat? i have changed the back tires before, but when i was installing my exhaust, i realized that the front tires did not lock when i put on the e brake

jack the car body up slightly while keeping the front wheels on the ground. break the lug nuts loose...do not loosen all the way. jack the car up until the front wheel is off the ground. you should be able to take the lugs off.

you jack the corner up that you're changing the tire on. Jack it up about half way (so the tire is still touching the pavement) then loosen all the lug nuts, and now you're ready to lift the tire/wheel assembly all the way off the ground... Take off the lug nuts and take the wheel off.

Flat tires? Buy a quality product [Michelin] and quality wheels and change both frequently. I haven't had a flat tire in 18 years and 318,000 miles.
In Fact my last flat was 1985........430k+ miles.

Then you're lucky to have not run over any road hazards in 20+ years. My last flat was about 10 years ago--ran over a screwdriver on the road...

Changing front tire/wheel....?

This is an honest question and answered very well. Why wouldn't a person
that drives a car know the answer prior to asking it? My Dad showed me how
to perform this task when I was 7 maybe 8 years old, where's this guys Dad?
Both my kids knew how to change a tire before they could drive, I just thought that's the way it was!
