What Color Face Wheel On An Obsidian Black?? Thanks For Input

k guys, i got an 05 OB coupe and its gorgeous. only problem is the stock 19s. im gonna end up getting a multi piece forged wheel with a chrom lip. i just cant decide on a chrome face, brushed face, matte black face, gloss black face, gunmetal, gold??? so many choices...i like them all.

what do you fellow g drivers recommend. i know its all personal opinion but any input would be great. thanks for your time guys!

Thought you got banned. Seems you got reinstated. Glad to see you posted a well-composed thread and not just another "What's the best _____?" thread.

In response to your question, it really all comes down to personal preference. Many on this board, myself included, are not fans of chrome. Polished/brushed face is nice. There are a ton of examples of black wheels on black Gs. I would stay away from gloss black and go with matte or satin if you're leaning towards the black-on-black theme. Gunmetal on black looks great and a little aggressive. I prefer bronze rather than gold. If you want to be different and go with something aggressive, you can consider something like burgundy. Alternatively, you can also consider a painted lip rather than a chrome lip.

You can't go wrong with silver. It's a classic.

Gunmetal is another good choice, but will offer a little more "aggressiveness."

Generally, I hate black wheels. Although some can pull off black wheels, they just get lost in the rest.

Gold is another option if you are brave.

Very few cars, IMO, can pull off chrome/high polished wheels. For the most part, I'd stay away.

if you do get black face, it should be gloss black, it looks better than flat black. flat gets lost with the tire. gold would be nicer, and get the mt fuji logo in gold as well to accent the wheels.

wow, thanks guys. when i heard nobody on this forum likes chrome, they were right! im thinking of sevas forged r55 or r77. i just dont know which finish. i like brushed, chrome, or matte black. and i also like the aicona alc 33 in modern black. and some asanti and symbolic wheels that are two tone (chrome and black accents). i just dont know. i know i like chrome and brushed, but at the same time i dont want anybody thinking my car is ugly. i know "to each his own", but when it comes to my car others opinions matter.

so what wheels do you guys like:

Aicona ALC 33 in modern black

Sevas forged R55

Sevas forged R77

Symbolic sl 100 two tone

Asanti 149 two tone.

sorry i cant post pics of all those wheels as i am at work. any input is appreciated
