I have very same offsets on the GTV's and I'm considering the same tire size...I believe that this option will produce the "stretch tire" look.

It will be somewhat stretched, but not too stretched. A 235 will work fine on an 8.5" wheel. You're gonna want 25mm spacers if you want to flush it out all the way (if you're dropped any significant amount.)

Tire question....?

Why would you put a smaller tire on your frontend? 235s can't be that much
cheaper than the 245s you currently have. There's a fine line between what
might look cool and what works best for you car. Having been in the Brake/
Alignment business spacers are not a good idea either....wheel wobble and
alignment issues are enough for me to stear clear....sorry my two cents!

I gotcha man, yea I probably will steer away from spacers but the price is almost 250 bucks savings between the 235 and 245 tires.

Hubcentric spacers, such as H&R and Ichiba will not produce any wobble and have no affect on the alignment of the car.

235 will be out of spec. So, the answer is yes, it matters.

A 235/35-19 will be fine on an 8.5 inch rim. I am currently running a 235-45-18 on an 8.5 rim, with no issues. I did a little research and Bridgestone lists 8 to 9.5 inch rim as acceptable
