I was going to replace just the rears on my stock 17's (because I am on the verge of getting 19's) but decided to wait a while and instead replace all four tires - my question is, would it be ok to put 245/45/17 on the front and 255/45/17 on the rear? I've found some Hankook Ventus Sport K104 for $80/front and $90/rear ($340 for all four - onlinetires.com) - I just want to go as wide as possible without having any problems.... Thanks for the responses....

 

How wide is the rim?
I'm not sure cause I have my set of 18's for the coupe and they are 8" wide....and have 245's on the rear....The 17's are probably 7" wide and I wouldn't go as high as 255 on a 7" wheel width....

Is this for a coupe or sedan either way the widest you may want to go on any 7" wheel is 245 max
