Bull Sh*T !!! Dont buy rim/tire package from web.

OK ... Just for Your Info Guys -

Bought 19 inch rims and toyo t1r tires from a representable store in arizona..
Got them a week later and spent $50.00 to mount them on the car- great.
noticed vibration in the wheel and seats... hmm.. ok need balancing.
Went to a professional wheel store were they charged me $95.00 to rebalance my tires..

remember TOYO T1rs ..

left and still noticed vibrations.. hmm
O wait... I need hubcentric rings for my new wheels, thats what it must be..
paid $18.00 ... and another $25.00 to put them on.
Still vibrations in wheel and seat... hmm
Then decided to do a road force test on tired... was told that all 4 toyo T1rs are defective! they all have " hops " in them across the board!
Must rplace all!

Went to TownFair tire.. toyo distributor and said toyo only covers 80% of these tires leavin me with a differnce of $385.00 payment ..hmmm ...

LONG story short... after repeated phone calls and headachs... got the company who sold me my wheels/tires to cover the balance for new
toyo t1rs.

SO WHAT DID WE LEARN -
1. cost me an extra 200.00 plus time and aggravation to get wheels and tires.
2. dont buy wheel and tire package from the internet.
3. wtf! TOYO gave me 4 defective tires!!!
4. I thought wheel shopping was suppose to be a fun experience, hmm...
thanks for listening.

Sorry to hear that. I got my Michelin Pilot Sport PS2's online. No problems so far (knock on wood). Only thing is that Pep Boys scratched up my rims when they were mounting my tires.

well not to burst your little "anger" bubble, but online tire places get their wheels from the same warehouse that you would if u went into the store yourself, just the shop would have dealt with the problems not yourself, and it still would have been a bitch. Car modding is a frustrating process, it took me over a month to get my sevas, one of them came damaged, they shipped another, that one came damaged, finally got the new one, then the guy who was mounting it tore the bead on my falken 275-30-20, then they were backordered. So i feel your pain, but keep your head up, there are worse things in life to be dealing with especially in this day and age. If you keep an optomistic attitude you will notice that the little things just roll off your back, its hard to get used to but it makes the day alot easier.

Yes... the entire Internet is to blame! Don't buy from the Internet!

PS - The Internet isn't a store... it's a network.

Sorry but you should have sent them back if you thought they weren't balanced and it wold have cost you any money. Might have taken awhile to figure out that all 4 wheels were defective but you wouldn't have spent any of your own money.

I've had great experiences buying things online. I only deal with reputable companies with excellent feedback and a commitment to customer service. Even though all of their policies state that you must "pay all return shipping costs plus a XX% restocking fee", I have never once paid either for a product with which I had a problem.

All you have to do is ask.

Glad they took care of everything. That's very strange about the tires being defective... And how did your online wheel/tire place not know you needed hubcentric rings?

EDIT: Ask for the company (wheel distributor or Toyo) to cover the $200 in diagnostic costs. If they're committed to customer service they will be happy to do so.

I had a problem with a defective wheel from VQMotoring.com and Cesar Cruz, the CEO/owner, was more than helpful - he was willing to send me a replacement wheel, pay for the set of tuner lugs I needed, and pay return shipping for the defective wheel. Was it a hassle to have to make a second trip to the shop? Absolutely. Would I buy from VQMotoring.com again? Without question, yes, I would.

sucks man, i would buy wheels online. always buy tires in person so you can inspect them or if you have issues you can take back.

glad they took care of it.
