Volk GT-S Help

I just purchased a set of Volk GT-S's +17 F and +18 R, the offset is really aggresive and i made the mistake of buying super chunky tires . I purchased a set of BF Goodrich 255/35/19 F 285/35/19 R and they are rubbing like crazy! fender roling wouldnt even help per the shop. I was told to get a smaller set of tires and after doing research i found alot of people getting the Toyo T1-R's with this setup in 245/35/19 F 275/35/19 rear. Does anyone have this setup? what should i do? im also a little lowered on Tein 350Z Htechs, its only about .5 lower in the rear. Im at the point now where i must either get a set of these toyos that are soposed to be the best fitment for this setup or get them in 275/30/19. Any help is grealy appreciated as i cant even drive the car right now.

Yeah, you have to switch to 245's and 275's to make it work with those offsets. Good luck.

The shop said the fender roll wouldnt help and after looking at it, i see what they mean. Im just hoping if i get the Toyos in 275/35/19 R i wont rub at all and can anjoy my new wheels. or do i play it safe and get the 275/30/19 that has about an inch shorter diameter.

275/35/19 should work just fine with your fenders rolled, 285's would probably work also but it depends on how much camber you're running.

THink its safer to go with 275/30/19 and avoid fender roll? I think the diameter of the 275/35 is just .2 inches shorter and i dont think thats gonna cut it. 275/30 is 1.1 shorter.

- anyone have this setup? i searched but still have some questions.

the 275/30s fall past the rule of thumb to stay 3% of the overall diameter of the stock wheel/tire combo....the proper size is 275/35.

Those BFG's are known to have more square sidewalls, while other type tires have more rounded shoulders like the Falkens.

I say get the 275/35 tire, then if you still rub roll your rear fender.

+1 I wouldn't run 275/30/19, that size is going to be pretty thin... up to you tho man.

So i guess the best option is to get the 275/35, Toyos or Falkens? Which would be a better fit?

275/35s!! You won't have any problems with that. You have to do a fender roll though, in case.

285/35/19 is the best option with a fender roll. I guarantee it will fit

you realize the suspension cambers in when it compresses right? I ran 285/35/19's on a 9.5+5(equiv to a 10.5+18) with a fender roll and still cleared by 3mm and I had camber correction. A 285 on a 9.5 bulges alot more than a 285 on a 10.5
Does your tire stick out more than this?

I have the setup you're talking about: GT-S with 17 and 18 offset, Toyo T1R 245/35/19 and 275/35/19. I'm also lowered on 350z H Techs. The rears were rubbing a lot, but I haven't had any problems since getting the fenders rolled. Hope everything works out for you
