I run General Excalims and think thay are a fine choice for our cars. Mine is an X so I'm running the same size all around. This allows me to rotate front to back. However if you are running staggered and cannot rotate than the cost of the Exclaims, Avons, Kumhos is a particularly good choice making the replacement of a pair reasonable should the fronts or rears wear out quicker than the other axle.

Those are excellent tires. I had them on my G35 and well worth the money. Great in wet and dry conditions and even on the track.

Nothing wrong with going directional.
