Going one up in tire size from stock?

The stock tire size for a G35 sedan is 215/55/17. Would going to a 225/50/17 on stock G35 wheels see any advantages or disadvantages?

Anybody on here done this on stock wheels?

i have 225/50/17 on stock sport rims. the tires fit great. lots also go for 235/50/17. you want to keep close to the overall diameter of the oem wheel/tire combo.

do a search in this forum and in the tire tech forum. lots of past discussion on this topic...
