Need help with Hubcentric Rings!!

Hi everyone. I just got my Volk Gram Light 19" wheels. I got hubcentric rings with them, but they are slightly loose around the hub. I am getting slight vibrations at about 80mph, and I even had the wheels re-balanced. They fit tightly in the wheel, so that is not the issue. The rings were marked as 66.06 inner bore, and 73 outer. My question is, where has everyone gotten their rings, what size EXACTLY are they, and who makes them? I know our bore size is either 66.1 or 66.2, so my rings should fit a little tight, BUT THEY DONT! Anyone who can help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Re: Need help with Hubcentric Rings!!

I bought wheel spacers that are listed at optauto.com as 66.2 Someone else here though suggested they are 66.1 I don't know who's right, but mine fit perfectly. Hope this helps...

Re: Need help with Hubcentric Rings!!

Were they a perfect fit around the hub (absolutely no play or looseness)? Mine fit, but there was between .5 and 1 mm of play around the hub. Thanks for the imput.

Yes, they were perfect. I had to use light pressure to get them on, which is the way it should be.

Too bad those are only spacers. Like I said, according to the size included with the rings, they should have fit tightly. On another note, what size were the spacers, and did you have to get a machine shop to push out/in the new studs?

Re: Need help with Hubcentric Rings!!

The 25mm spacers in back come with their own studs already pressed into the spacer and with the 20mm fronts I had to remove the factory studs and replaced them with longer ones which came with the spacers. Very Happy with the look/feel. No vibration at all and now the wheels are flush with the fenders...

Re: Need help with Hubcentric Rings!!

Were you able to remove the studs by yourself, or did you need a shop to do it? What did you use if you did it yourself? I am thinking about getting a set of 5mm in the rear for my new wheels, but I don't want to pay money to have a machine shop press them out. I was hoping I could do it myself. Thanks

Re: Need help with Hubcentric Rings!!

You just bang 'em out with a hammer/rubber mallet and when you tighten the new ones, they press themselves. I never did it before. I called my mechanic to get an estimate and he told me I could do it myself. Sure enough I did. It's simple...
