Need help before I buy

I am going down tomorrow to purchase wheels for my 03 sedan. Im leaning towards 20x8 all around with 38mm offset 245/30 tires. I also have a Eibach sportline kit to install. I had this same spring on my 00 Z-28 with 18's and the ride was perfect. I'm hoping the same for the G35, but I have never rolled 20's and from my searching alot of guys are saying they ride like crap on slammed cars and will bend easily. Should I lean towards a smaller wheel, or a fatter tire. Any input is greatly appreciated I have searched for hours on here and am more confused than ever. Also Im not 100% positive this wheel and tire combo will fit right. Any info greatly appreciated.

do 245/35..not 30 series...i would also get 20x8.5 if you not going to stagger.
