Re: Powdercoat

Wow this site is something. Why is it when every question I ask someone says search? I asked about 20's fitting on a lowed G and someone said search. Go search and tell me what comes up. NOTHING! I asked about DVD player in the console and someone said search. Try it and see what comes up. NOTHING! I asked about powdercoating wheels and I wanted to know if anyone had done it. I searched all these things as suggested and before i even posted these questions and got NOTHING. Why do you guys jump the gun so fast with the "search button" Ive gone into other posts that other users post and I see the same things.

Re: Powdercoat

I agree G252NV.... everytime someone wants to ask something, all you get is SEARCH SEARCH SEARCH...by the time you actually SEARCH and find the answer, you'll probably have bought and sold 5 different cars...

Lighten up guys, its only a question!

I dunno, search seems to be working for me.

The problem is for those of us who have been on this site for awhile, we've seen these questions come up before. It gets tiring when you see it come up multiple times.

Re: Powdercoat

oh come on....it took you longer to make a "print screen" picture to point to search than it would to guide him in the right direction...dont hate...

Re: Powdercoat

I understand that a lot of new people post here and you get the same old same old questions. But Ive tried search many times for the things Im looking for and nothing comes up. I guess my questions are just odd or something. I have had it work but for the most part no go. Is there any other G35 sites?

Re: Powdercoat

I'm with you G352NV. Seems like some members of the forum are getting to be very uptight and intolerant. This site used to be a great source of info presented in a friendly manner. Seeing the "do a search" response to every question asked around here is JUST as tiring as seeing the same questions being asked over and over. I thought I read sometime before that the Moderators wanted members to play nice and not "flame" or "own" other members. The Mods sure don't seem to do anything about these members that seem to have a negative attitude. This site is NOT just some kind of search engine. A "forum" is supposed to be a place where someone can ask a question and discuss something they want to learn more about. Hey, we all chose the same car and that gives us all some common ground. If you don't want to answer, shut up and don't be a jerk. If you are here to help others with the same interests as you, please help. Seems like some G owners are develpoing BMW attitudes.
Peace.

Re: Powdercoat

The search feature is not that good on this site. I think it would have been a lot easier to answer his question and if someone has 1 or 2 minutes and knows where the topic is located, just hyperlink it and smile and go on. You can then be proud of yourself b/c you have helped somone with a problem. I think a majority of us use this site for information purposes. Helping people is a good thing. This is what this site was intended for?

Re: Powdercoat

C'mon now, don't say "this site" and stereotype all of us. I have never once told someone to use the search feature, atleast not in a bad way. Most people on here won't play the search card easily. Some are a little snippier than others but certainly don't blame the whole site or you're acting the same as them. Now with all that being said...I don't know anyone who has powdercoated their wheels so I can't help you. My only possible advice would be to try searching.

p.s. if you type more than one word when searching be sure to switch from Exact Phrase to And. You'll get much better results!
