Re: EBC Greenstuff brake pad availability

We should all e-mail them and ask when the pads are coming. Maybe we can move up production.

Bummer. Anyone know if our brake pads are the same as an existing Nissan/Infiniti vehicle? Nissan standardizes a lot - maybe there is an existing fit.

Re: EBC Greenstuff brake pad availability

I've emailed EBC in England about the Greenstuff pads for the G35, several times. They suggested sending them an outline of the pads, as a template. I don't have my G35 yet; waiting for AWD, but someone who has one could send it to them. Email address: technical@ebcbrakesuk.com.

Re: EBC Greenstuff brake pad availability

hey, if they really can make them available on market a year from now, we are ok, but they really did not sound very sincere.

The UK email address, is for EBC tech center in England. EBC is based in England and is mainly known for making motorcycle brakes.

Just got my reply from England:

In reply to:

Colin.
Sorry , we have no information on this car yet.
Maybe you could send me a drawing of both the front and rear pads
with the overall length, width and thickness marked on it.
We might have it on another car or if it is different we will
have to look at the feasiblity of making them.

Best Regards

So I've fired off the same request to :

Hello.
Do you have an estimate of when your Greenstuff brake pads and sport rotors will be available for the Infiniti G35 Sedan?

Hello
There is not enough demand to justify making this part number.

Re: EBC Greenstuff brake pad availability

I wonder if our brake pads share a part number with any other Nissan/Infiniti vehicle, such as the non-Brembo coupe, or 350Z, I35, Maxima, Altima, etc. If they did, it might help "demand."

No luck at the USA site either. Here's my answer from 'Evelyn'

Hello

We are currently not planning production of these pads.

Development of the tool for new pads is quite expensive and we need to wait for demand to increase substantially before planning can start.

Kind regards

Evelyn

Re: EBC Greenstuff brake pad availability

i hear the EBC greenstuff suck if you're not actively using them for racing purposes... when racing, they're great.. but just a strain on your rotors and useless in the cold when using them for daily driving..

Re: EBC Greenstuff brake pad availability

I thought they were supposed to be pretty good when cold, too, and they also make a Redstuff pad if you're more into racing.

Re: EBC Greenstuff brake pad availability

Had the Green Stuff on an A4. Worked great for me. Maybe that person did not 'bed' them right. Think they will wear nearly as fast as the OEM though, but about 1/2 the dust.
