Rim dont fit with stock BRAKE ROTORS!!???!!!

I just bought new rims basically same sizes as my stock for the 2004 g35 coupe... Now my problem is my STOCK brake rotors have a stud looking thing.... i think its so i can align the rotors.... But do to this stud my rims will not go on nor sit flush to the rotor..... Should i grind them off.... b/c i dont have the time or money to buy new rotors right now and mine are almost new to begin with..... PLEASE HELP ME OUT THANKS!

the stud is to make sure you don't mix up front and rear wheels - front wheels on 04 coupe are 18x8 and rears are 18x8.5 (or is it 18x7.5 and 18x8?). make sure you have the correct tires on the correct wheels! - the stud is what's preventing you from making that mistake. btw, your tires are staggered too - 225 front and 245 rear, if i'm not mistaken.

Use a 12mm and unscrew the bolt. It is just there to assist when removing the caliper.

remove it or not, please make sure you put the correct wheels and tires on the correct end of your car.

You are correct that the stud is to prevent mixing front and rear (and is easilyremoved), but all four wheels on the 04 coupe are 18x8. It's only the tires that are staggered.
