First time post. My girlfriend just acquired her g35 coupe. We upgraded the tires to 245/45/18 front and 275/40/18 rear and tinted to 35% all the way around. It looks and drives great and the wheel wells look substantially more filled out.

We live in Vancouver. I have driven many nice vehicles over the years from NSX, Viper, Porsche996, Late model Vettes but this Infiniti is a Blast to drive. Smooth, powerful and ton's of brakes! Not to mention the stiking originality of the exterior skin. She is going to have some fun this summer.

I have the same combo on order...

I was wondering... is that on the stock 18s and if it is ...do you notice any beveling out of the tire ...it being a 8 inch rim.

The fit is good. No bevelling. My tire shop is very well informed about fitment with performance tires and they were pleased with the fitment of the 275/40/18 on the stock sport rim.One point to note, the rim actually measures close to nine inches vs the official measurement of 8''. The tread is not bevelled and the rubber extends just 3/8 of an inch outside the rim edge. You will like the look, both front and rear are substantially beefier looking inside the fender wells. The car even looks lower than stock , although it is an illusion.The only signicant although not important change is the 26.7 overall diameter on both front and rear now vs the stock staggered(.8 inch difference between front and rear) configuration. The car seems to be riding softer than ever on the wider tires. We are happy with this moderately priced change in appearance.
Let me know what you think when you do a trial fit once you r car comes in.

We will take some pictures next time the car is cleaned and looking good. You would be surprised how dark the tint is at 35%. This vehicle has much more factory tint than most cars and 35 is plenty dark with the graphite interior. I have shown it to some of buddies who are into exotics and they think it looks really sharp. My girlfriend is happy with the slightly pimpy/greasy look of a black coupe/tint/bigger rubber. I know some of these guys are going much further with exotic wheels but this is a nice econo type combo in my mind.

I would like to see some close up side pics of the "beveling" and a rear low shot from the side to see fitament out from the fender well , also some of the front tire too ... (if you can)
... and a low back shot to see how fat the tires look from the back

The wweather in vancouver is looking good today and I will try and find DM(girlfriend) and get her car cleaned up. I will get you some good tire and rear low shots. She will know how to post them I think or shoot me your email at thordargroup@telus.net I am working on her to buys ome 18x11 for the rear and 18x9 for the front but she is thinking about the dual exhaust first as she likes thwe way her tires look and fit now. Time will tell!

I forgot to mention the tires. I bought her the michelin pilot sport that was the same as the factory sport model.My dealer took the 225/45/18 from the front in on trade using this formula: difference from new cost between 225/45 and 275/40 then add 50$ per tire, mount and balance included. Very fair I thought as the fronts had 150 k on them. The total cost difference was about $400 cash plus tax.
By the way, unrelated comment here, I removed the resonator and the car is louder but not in a tough deep tone, just a high pitched F1 sort of sound. Not cool really, kind of honda 2000ish.I am working on designing a copy of the Stillen dual system now and have my mufflre shop buddies researching resonator and rear muffler combo's. At the rear I am thinking of a stright through welded shell design with a dual in and out all in a 14 inch case made by dynomax and called a race magnum. Thye have tremendous flow and sound good on my V8 trucks and suv's, deep smooth, no rapping. It could all be built for a fraction of the stainless setup and the tone can be determined by temparily fitting up different combinatons at the rear, main muffler.
