Pilot sport max summer tire. Would have been nicer to have the PS2s but can't be too choosey.
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....el=Pilot+Sport.

I was also looking at the RE050s in 245-35-19 all around (nice tire but 140 UTOG) or the Dunlop direzza 101s in the same size (but their wet performance was horrible). I can't have **** wet performance up here.

lol ^ im running the yokohama S drive and they are awsome, took 500 miles or so to brake them in , they replaced the oem re050.

for the 255 40 19 you WILL need to roll the fenders in the rear.

The rears I got are 255-35-19. Tad smaller than oem diameter. Which is where I wanted to error.

I also went with 225/40/19 and 255/35/19 with my G coupes. Ride is still good and it keeps it pretty damn close to spec. No rubbing issues either with my Z front springs and G coupe rear suspension.

Awesome. That's the 2nd person to mention no rubbing issues w/ the 255-35 combo. Other guy was running Kumhos in that size.

Who thinks we should have a tire test sticky in our little section? I could post a 2005 R&T tire test and I found a tire test from Europe that looks at the Verdenstien tires (rated #1 on that test).

Finally got them mounted. And just because I'm a weight *****:

oem RE050s:
225-40-19 = 25 lbs.
245-40-19 = 30 lbs.

Michelin Pilot Sports:
225-40-19 = 21 lbs.
255-35-19 = 24 lbs.

I saved 4 lbs off the fronts. 19s & tires = 43 lbs. vs 47 lbs.
I saved 6 lbs of the rears. 19s & tires = 47 lbs. vs 53 lbs.

All weights are probably +/- 1 lb or so.

Not bad for a 220 utog vs 140 and a better tire review.

For reference, my oem 17 wheel and blizzak 215-55-17 came in at 45lbs each. I'm lighter them oem in front and just a tad heavier in the rear. Not bad for going +2 and 10mm / 40mm wider!

Pics? Interested to see that front gap. I think the 245/35 front setups that I've seen look a little thin w/ the z springs. I'll have the same z/cpe setup when I can track down some wheels.

Here's a pic with the oem 225-40 and 245-40 19s on. Coupe rear/Z front springs.

I'll post pics of the new setup when I actually mount these on the G. Still a slight threat of snow here.

The rear 255s aren't nearly as wide as I would have thought. And the 225 fronts seem narrower then the bridgestones.

Those are some major savings. I wonder how much weight i will save if i swap my RE050 runflats with T1Rs or your tires.
