on the sedan. These tires are 2.1% smaller than the oem 215-5-17. A 245 on the coupe front "should" be well within the 8" size spec.
Question is 2.1% difference small enough?
FWIW. the stock coupe 19 sizes of 225-40-19 was a smiggen smaller than stock (0.9%)while the 245-40-19 was a touch taller than stock (1.5%). But none of them was more than 2% different than stock.

Just exploring my options since I need to replace my tires soon. Another combo would be 255-35-19(r) and 235-40-19 (f).

myself and many others have ran 245/35/19 on our sedans. it is smaller, but besdies that, i had no issues. i mean, as long as you don't mind that overtime it'll rack a few more miles on your odometer
. i'm assuming you want to run those for a wider footprint, but keeping it rotatable still

I guess front/rear rotation would be a nice benefit. Thanks for the confirmation. The slightly smaller size would help offset the slightly heavier wheel/tire combo of the coupe 19 wheel/tire

umm weights. J/k, if you want to keep the same diameter, go with 225/40 f and a 255/35 rear. I think they are the same rolling diameter or maybe just a hair off. If I change up to 19's that is what I am planning on doing.

you could run them it will be slightly off speedometer .
im running 245 40 19 front 255 40 19 rear rides great and fills the gap well

I'll look into the weights and advise. LOL.
I know the various sizes that will be close. Just wanted to know if 2.1% was over the limit vs the oem sizes.
I need tires fairly soon and just wanted comments on this size and if there any negative effects.
IMHO I think 2.1% is okay.

If I had a choice, I'd rather not run the 245-40-19 as it's a tad taller than oem. If anything I'd like to run something a touch smaller like a 255-35-19 in the rear.Originally Posted by G SEDAN

why?
I'm currently running 245/45/18 all around on my staggered set of 350z track wheels. fills the gap nicely and rides comfortably
