my good cheap alternative to Brembos for my sedan?

i'm painting my calipers red to match the red suspension bits.

BTW, anybody know why some of the suspension bits are red? is this on the sport pkg only or on base as well?

wow 120 sounds good. Well then looks like I will save my money to get brembos even if it is just for the back or front.

Re: Cheap good alternative to Brembo's?

The Brembos probably won't make the car stop much faster. What they do is resist fade under heavy use. So, on the track under constant hard braking, when the rotors get really hot, the Brembos will still bite down while the stock brakes will fade out some.

If you do replace only half your brakes, work on the fronts. The front brakes do most of the work.

And don't forget tires. High performance rubber that grips better around the corners also stops better.

There are a lot of good tires. It depends on what your criteria are. Dry traction, wet traction, snow traction, comfort, quiet, treadwear -- these factors are all at odds with each other. TireRack.com is a good resource to compare tires that fit your vehicle. Plus, you can search around on this forum and see what other people are putting on their cars. I'm still running the OEM Bridgestones on my car, and this is the first performance vehicle I've owned, so I don't feel I'm in a position to recommend a particular performance tire at this time.
