for those with aftermarket wheels...

do you even bother keeping the spare in the trunk?

the reason i am asking is because im thinking about taking the panels and the spare out of my trunk to free up some room for car audio. i mean i have rims on my car and i figure if a tire ever blew out, i'd rather have it towed right then and there instead of driving on 3 rims and one spare.

i guess what im asking is does riding on 3 rims and one spare mess up the other 3 wheels?
is it illogical to have this kinda rationale?

i have 20 inch wheels and i have a spare as well

it is always good to keep a spare tire in the trunk unless you are sure you won't need it

here is mine

i even managed to put a 2 channel amp behind the spare, under the mat, and a 4 channel amp bolted to the back seat, this way i have room for my 20inch wheel in case i have to use the spare, car will still be drivable, but should only be drivin to the nearest shop to get your aftermarket wheel/tire fixed

The only spare that fits my front brakes is an oem 19" wheel. I kept one of those for a while until I installed a Bosch race pump and surge tank plus moved the fuel evap box all in the spare tire well. So now I don't have a spare. I put one in the trunk for road trips but around town I don't.

Go get a tire plugging kit at Wally World and a small compressor. That's what "roadside assistance" is for anyway.
