alignment nessisary everytime dampers are adjusted

i was just looking at tein flex dampers and thinking about getting them with TEIN Electronic Damping Force Controller also installed (all would be professionally done and prolly run me around $2k). I was just thinking that my dad doesnt really like the idea of me driving a slammed g35 coupe.... but if i installed these adjustables with the damping force controler (u can adjust it like air bags right.... cause that what it sounds like... minus the air bags lol) then i could just hit my switch and raise it up to stock riding height when i come home lol. I could also have it sit super low when im cruising around and then when i need to get up into someone's driveway or drive into downtown houston (horrible roads), i could life it up to stock ride height so that bottoming out and scraping arent problems. This system seems really cool to me (if it is what i am picturing), but i was wondering if there are downsides such as needing to be realigned everytime i adjust the height/tighten the ride. After i get them installed and aligned will it just take normall alignment intervals to keep it in check after that no matter how often i use my springs to adjust ride high / stiffness.

Also am i invisioning the right thing here.... i picture it kinda like my friend's harly truck that he has bagged. I dont want it to jump up like his (super fast up a foot from sitting on the frame) or anything, but i imagine its pretty much the same concept where i can choose ride height and adjust it at anytime... or at least when parked. I would also think this would be pretty badass because in the newer part of my community, all the driveways go up to the houses and are raised from the street. it's already a pain to no scrape going out (have to cut most driveways really hard and go REALLY slow). This way i also could get in and out of my school parking lot next year and then get out on the street and drop my ride down a couple of inches.

if u dont know what im talking about i found it on www.sgpracing.com . it is a local houston shop and i am probably going to let them install my exhaust and plenum here in the next couple of weeks. Now that i have come across this little suspension upgrade tho.... lol i may have to get it instead

lol.....Weren't you the one with the $2500 budget?? Now you're looking at $5000 between the suspension and the Volks.

sorry to burst your bubble. but You can't adjust height automatically with the EDFC. you can adjust the damper which does not Lower or raise your ride. It only controls the dampening force of your ride.

Re: alignment nessisary everytime dampers are adjusted

o and... well i just have a 2500 immediate budget... like within the next 2 weeks i could spend that much. through the middle of august i'll have a budget of about $6k. I really hope that i can talk my dad into letting me spend THAT much. He already said yes to the wheels as long as he approves of them (he said "i dont want any of that spinning crap") lol cause i have a firend with a harly truck on 22" spinners and a friend with a lightening that used to be on spinners. I know he'll approve of the volks. I'm going to talk him into the exhaust by saying that im doing it for sound (no hp) because he told me himself that he didnt like the sound the first time he drove it because he was chirping gears since he couldnt tell whne to shift (he is used to his 911 carrerra and about to ge a turbo i think). He asked me the other night if they sell a turbo verision of my car or the 350z and i told him about all the f/i options out there and he shrugged his shoulders and said "o" and when i asked if maybe i could get one he just laughed at me and walked away haha. Well i guess im probably not going to get the dampers after all because i thot that it would be awsome to have like 3 inches of range with a switch (like airbags without all that weight). I guess they arent that cool after all

good lesson here... if it sounds to good to be tru, it probably is
