Re: You vote: HKS Hipermax LS+ or Tein Flex w/o EDFC?
The issue I see is that your have two polar opposites. The Tein CS is in the same market as the LS+ . The Hipermax II is more competitive to the flex. Flex use's a lot higher spring rates, does use weak rear spring rate's for G35 applications like the LS and LS+ do, and allows you to adjust ride height independent of adjusting the springs.
CS vs LS+, I have reason to think the LS+ is the more performance oriented system in terms of dampner valving, but the CS does use equal spring rates front and rear as mentioned.
HKS LS+ 504/448 vs oem= +60%/+31%
Transfers 29% roll stiffness to front
Tein CS 392/392 vs oem = +25%/+15%
Transfers 10% roll stiffness to front
HKS II 504/504 +61%front +47%rear
transfers 14% roll stiffness to the front
Now notice how much stiffer then oem the Tein flex spring rates are.
Tein Flex672/672 vs oem=+114%/+98%
Transfers +16% to front
If you order the JDM Tein flex you get these spring rates
560/560 vs oem= +78%/+64%
Transfers 14% roll stiffness to front

Re: You vote: HKS Hipermax LS+ or Tein Flex w/o EDFC?
randy,
i have the LS+, and i can tell you that they are not that soft. i run them on full soft, and they have a really sporty ride. they are stiff, but comfortable. if you dial up the stiffness, you can make them pretty uncomfortable if you want. the stiffest i ever had them at was 15 out of 30 clicks (half way for the not so math inclined folk) and that was too stiff for me...great for a track though.
if you are down in SD again, we will go for a drive...perhaps at our June 5th drive?
the flex will be a punnishing ride, especially in LA.
it is true that the LS+ transfers 29% roll stiffness to the front, but if you add a set of hotchkis sways and set the front to full stiff (63% stiffer than stock) and the rear to medium (92% stiffer than stock) you will net a neutral balance...(92% - 63% = 29% roll stiffness to the rear).

Thanks for the input...so, do you like the Flex better? I'll be tracking the car.

Re: You vote: HKS Hipermax LS+ or Tein Flex w/o EDFC?
i'm a noob when it comes to suspension, is it better to have more roll stiffness transferred to the front or what? what do the transfer numbers mean in terms of handling? is it an oversteer/understeer thing? thanks for the info, i'm not too far from a purchase either, and i'm trying to do all the research i can.
