Tire help needed for OEM 19" wheel

Hello all,

I'm currently looking for tires to replace my stock tires on my OEM 19" wheels on my 05 coupe. OEM tire size are 225/40/19 and 245/40/19.

I have read that some of you have slapped Falken 452's on them and I would like to know by going down to 225/35/19 in the front wont my speed and KM/Mileage reading be off? Also if my front will have a bigger wheel gap?

I dont see much brands that have the 225/40/19 size with the 245/40/19 unless I stick with the expensive tires like Mich or Perr or back to the stock Bridgestones.

Can I get some help interims of what brand I can slap on best bang for the buck or possibly have folks chime in on what they slapped on their OEM 19's?

Thanks in advance

Yes it will throw your speedo off a bit, the falkens are good tires I would even look in to the nitto invos. It is almost and inch difference. and will throw the speedo out by about two miles and hour.

225/35/19 would be way to short, i have 245/40/19 Falken 452's all round, i have no VDC issues and plan on 245/35/19 front and 255/40/19 rear for better handling

this thread might help you

it will not throw your speedometer/odometer off, those readings are taken from the rear wheel. It might give VDC issues though, and it a very small tire and doesn't provide much protection. Go with 245/35/19 in the front instead, which is a very common size, paired with 245/40/19 or 255/40/19 in the rear

Thanks for the reply. However going with a 40 to 35 which means the tire is smaller and when it's smaller there's gonna be an half an inch gap am I not correct?

Do you currently have that setup?

Would there be any issues going with 245-40-19 front and 255-40-19 rear instead of going with 245-35-19 for the front? Please note that I have the stock sports suspenstion with the car.
