Help, what Offset?

Hi Guys.
I've just purchased an 03 coupe and looking at new wheels. I've got my eye on the Work Gnosis GS1 in 20/9.5 & 20/10.5 with 255 & 285 tyres (not into stretched look). Can anyone give me advice as to what offset would bring the wheel to the closest point inside the guard without issues, it's law in my state that the wheel can not protrude beyond the guard. I will be investing in some suspension mods (coilovers & lowering) but don't want to set up a tyre chewer either!!!! Any help would be appreciated.

+20 to +30 is what you need.

Well yes I did, about five different ways. You guys over there are so obsessed with "aggressive" fitment guess what the results predominantly were?

Thanks terra, I forgot to mention wheel spacers are illegal here too, so I have to get it right from the start.

are you sure you searched?

https://g35driver.com/forums/wheels-...confusion.html

plus many others that suggest offsets that are not that aggressive such as 9.5 +10 10.5 +20 or so, all of that information was found when searching for "offsets"

it also doesn't help by stating that all of us guys over "here" are obsessed with aggressive offsets

that above might not be an exact example but there are plenty of threads on what offsets to choose,

word of advice, if you choose the wheels now THEN get suspension mods such as springs or coils, your wheels will tuck and it would be pointless, it depends what you want.. i assume you can be flush with the fender and not violate your state's laws

I used that exact term "offsets" without a lot of success, much like that linked thread but thanks for trying, the content was a little helpful but not specific enough. Fortunately this one was here which answers my question exactly, all I need is the pic links to work !!!!! I'll PM the OP of that thread
got it from his garage, the ideal setup for our laws BUT the offsets do not change with different model wheels of the same size, correct?

P.S. Smiley face at end of "aggressive fitment" statement indicated I was havin fun, apologies if you took it the wrong way.

no the offset is the same for all wheels however some wheel companies will not give out or let you pick wheel offsets and some might have limited offsets to choose from
