Alright guys I have a '03 G35x sedan, I have heard a lot of bad things about staggered wheels on an AWD but I have an opportunity to put some 18 inch 35th anniversary 350z wheels on it for a good price. What should I do. Is this going to hurt my ride? If not what size tires do I need to not screw up my overall wheel diameter? I believe he has the stock size tires.Pretty sure front its 225/40/18 and rear 245/45/18.5. Help me out here before I let these wheels slip through my hands.
Ypu'll be fine, but confirm those tire sizes. You need 225/45 and 245/40. If you use what you mentioned you'll be off by a fair bit.
Yea contis run pretty large. They have beastly sidewalls.

max backspace?
So I got new wheels and was dumb and made a semi-blind purchase. they were on a maxima before I got them and the rims themselves fit on my car but it looks like the tire is going to rub against the "arm" part that goes up from the wheel hub and over the wheel. here are the wheel's specs
size - 20"
width - 9.5
offset - 41.275
backspace - 6.375
How much backspace can I have in the front and rear with tires on, and without a spacer? I don't want to buy the tires yet unless I know how flat they are going to have to be. I was thinking 235/35/20 in the front and 255/35/20 in the rear but idk. any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hello guys!
I want to get wheels for my stock G35.
I was looking at these here and wanted to know if they would work without rolling or pulling my fenders, also which tires sizes do you recommend for these wheels on a stock G. Thanks in advance.
Front: 19x9.5 +12 5x114.3
Rear: 19x11 +25 5x114.3 OR maybe same as fronts?

Ok, noob-ish tire size question. I have an 06 G35 Sedan on coils thats currently on 19x9.5 38et 245/35 Nitto Invo front (also ran a 245/40 Invo with no issues) and 19x10 40et 275/35 Nitto Invo rear. Both front and rear natural camber. Front fenders are rolled and pinched flat and the marker light mounts have been modded for clearance, and rears are rolled flat. I just ordered new wheels, 19x9.5 22et and 19x10.5 30et. From what Ive looked at so far, Im thinking a 235/35 in the front and a 265/30 in the rear, as long as I run a Hankook or Yoko or Falken. Does that sound correct? Or would I be better off with a 255/35 on the rear? My current seems to have a ton of room.

You should actually be fine for back spacing as these cars can handle 10" +40ish which sits almost and inch further in.
However, if it's a coupe you're going to want spacers so they don't sit sunken like OEM.
Tire choice is fine.

You can fit 9.5 front and rear without fender work (other than a little poking around up front)

Tire sizes sound good though.
BTW, don't buy falkens for stretching, they're terrible and you'll hate yourself later on.

Nice, Thanks! I'll prolly go with the 255's since they are a closer to oem size/speedo match... I havent had any issues as of yet with strut clearance on my 19x10 40et's, what would make the 19x10.5 22et's worse? And what brand would u recommend as far a longevity and noise? Nankang, Hankook, Nitto?

What about a 19x9.5 +22 5x114.3 up front and the 19x9.5 +12 5x114.3 in the rear would that look better than stock rays(as far a flushness)?
Also which tire sizes would i need? would the same stock size work?

This for a coupe or sedan?

I love falkens! I've been using them for the past few years w/ my Z&G... are they really that bad for stretching?!
