Quote: So 235/40 won't work? Was thinking that these would fill the gap and not have a big stretch but I'm new to tire stretching lol
I wouldn't recommend them. But go for them if you feel comfortable.

Quote: so it would not look a little closer to normal? im planning on selling the car anyway in the next few months and either getting a newer G or a truck
It'll look a little better, but still sunk.

Quote: Sorry for so long to reply, just learning how to get around this site. Yes, will spend for comfort and good tread wear tire. Should mention have rear spacers and new to all this. Tires on there now look stretched but Idk. Are all the tires same height because I have very little room left. Falken fk 452's on now ??
Quote: Looking at Veredesteins but not good tread rating-comfort? Pole position potenzas, Nexen 3000, General G max, CONTINENTAL CWS and a few others?
Michelin Pilot sports.

Best tire ever IMO.

Looking at those and Nitto Invitos, I am learning a lil now including my tires now I believe are stretched with rear spacers and rolled fenders. Have 275/30/20's now can I do a 295/25 to protect the outside of my rim better and will they rub and how will it affect ride comfort?

You can see the entire lip with the bolts going through so yes they are sandwhich mounted usually, unless they are mounted from the back 3 <====3

From what I've seen reverse lips can be from 100~200... He-Man can get lips

Figuring offset
Back spacing - Centerline = Offset
First, measure the overall width of the wheel at its widest point. Next, divide that width by two; this will give you the centerline of the wheel.

After determining the centerline, subtract the centerline from the backspacing to get the wheel offset.

Will 245/40/19 tires fit okay on 5x114 19x8 +42 wheel? Suspension is the G/Z combo. There won't be any spacers.

I don't want the VDC acting up and I want a little more comfortable ride than 245/35/19

Quote: The 235/255 stagger will be fine. Almost identical specs as what I have on the Z. You shouldn't have any issues running that size.

Nexen and Hercs are the one ones I'd trust out of there. Lexanis are straight garbage and the rest I haven't even heard of.
Do you have any pictures of your Z for comparison? How do 350z's fenders compare to a G coupe? More room, or about the same?

Ok so i'm looking at my next set of wheels pretty soon. I've decided on a set of 19'' Work Miester S1 3P. Matt black face, step chrome polished lip, I have been given a couple of specs from a shop just want to know what you guys think.
19X10 +5R disk 83mm dish
19x11 +4O disk 121mm dish
this is the max dish i can get to fit my Brembo's

I am currently lowered on Eibach Pro kit springs (1.1'' front and back) and have an SPC rear camber kit. I don't want crazy poke because of the Australian laws but i can have a little bit. Rolling guards is fine i can get that done. Lmk what you guys think. i Would like to be flush with the guards maybe a tiny bit of poke too. Thanks

Sandwich mount, 10mm flange.

Looking at anywhere from $200 to $250 in the size lips you'll need. Looking for standard 40 bolt work lips. Same as VSXX and what not.

As for what TG mentioned, that's the best way to measure offset. You can use a big *** caliper and a straight edge to get the measurement bang on.

What are the current widths?

245/40 is OEM tire size. So you'll be fine.

Don't have many pics of it after the new tires. Fenders are slightly larger in the rear, I don't have an exact difference though.

That'll work! You'll want a mild stretch and a hint of camber to clear but nothing crazy.

See my picture post in the DG section recently. 19x9.5 -2 w/ 235/35 and 19x11 +2 265/30. Pretty comparable to your specs and I have similar fender work to what you mentioned. Should be a decent reference. Nexen tires FYI, -3 camber rear, natural camber front.

Work Equip - All mid disk

F 18x8.5 +41 (2" outer / 6.5" inner)
R 18x10 +47 (3" outer / 7" inner)

what would the offset be if they were relipped with a 3" outer up front, and a 3.5" in the rear?

9.5 +29 and 10.5 +41

Not ideal specs for a simple relip.

not for me. that super wack wizzle for me!

it's for a friends is300 who is trying to relip some nasty wheels into something more decent, but still manageable as a daily.
