how wide means how wide are your wheels.

offset is the number after size and width. for example 20x9 +30 means the wheel is 20 inch, 9 inches wide, and offset is +30.

Find the box your wheels came in, it should say there. If you don't have the boxes and don't know your size/offset you're ****ed unless you want to do some work and get the wheel off the car and look on the backside and hope the width/offset is stamped there.

Axis Elite only comes in two widths for 20".

20x9 +45
20x10 +50

Those are likely your specs.

For the 20x9 wheel, widest tire I'd put is 265/30/20. I'd run 255/30/30.

For the 20x10 wheel, widest tire I'd put is 285/30/20. I'd run 275/30/20. (your current tire)

He has a picture of it in his album and he said the brand is Axis. So Axis Elite.

Wow. You like a tire encyclopedia. Lol.....thanks man, that was really helpful. So it's safe to assume I have the 20x10 +50. So hypothetically speaking, what if I put in a wrong size of tire? What will happen

Depends how wrong the tire is.

Your wheels are likely staggered, meaning your rear wheel is wider than the front, so you only have 20x10 +50 in the rear, and 20x9 +45 in the front. I posted the recommended sizes above. I suggest you stick with those or get different wheels.

Oh I see. I'm about to get new tires, my current ones are bad. So looking at my car, what sizes do you think will look best and what inexpensive brand of tires do you recommend

Same sizes you have.

Whats your budget for 4 tires.
