Love how the first one was a G37, as G35s with 20s are rare in these parts..

I managed to get a staggered set of 20's with great tyres for a silly price....
If they don't sit well I'll be looking at lowering

We had a 350Z which sat great on 19's and 20's with stock suspension.
Even trial fitted some 22's at one point

IMO, anything above 19 for the Z doesn't look right...18-19 is the perfect size range whereas the G can run 20s and look better but not 18s.

I agree. The longer wheelbase on the G allows for it to pull off 20s a little better, but even then when I had 20s I thought they were a tad too large. 19s are perfect for the G in terms of form and function.

Quick question

What's up fellas just picked up a 06 g35 sedan sport suspension completely stock and was wondering if I can go 19x9.5 30mm offset in the front. Also going to get bc coilovers but no camber kit up front? Is this possible would just rolled fenders work?

OEM Coupe 18" Wheels on 03 Sedan

I've lurked here for months & I love the search function! First a couple contributions, then a question.

Contributions:

(1) Nineteens on an 03 sedan:

Five spoke M45 19s with 245/40-19 DO NOT fit the front of an 03 Sedan on factory spec shocks & springs. I just tried to bolt them up and they hit the upper control arm. It's not even close.

(2) Busted, cross threaded, or otherwise ruined wheel studs:

Advance sells them for $1.99. Don't let anyone gouge you on labor. Take off the caliper & put the stud in from behind the rotor. Get 2 fat (1/4 -1/6") washers and stack them over your stud on the front side of the rotor. Put on a big lug nut & tighten it until it pulls the stud through into place.

Question:

Do you have coupe 18s on your OEM set up sedan? Do your 225/45-18 ever rub in front? Do the 245/45-18 fit in back. Several posts indicate they fit (but several posts also indicate M45 19s fit & I discovered this AM they assuredly do not). Thank you.

yeah coupe 18 but my tire size isn't 225 up front I have 235x40 all around and no rubbing at all. as for the 19 that I was asking about I didn't end up buying them for the same reason of not knowing if they would of fit so im just going to get my suspension done first & ride on stocks

"I just tried to bolt them up and they hit the upper [sic] control arm [note: it's actually the A Arm]. It's not even close."

I WAS WRONG HERE

CORRECTION: According to the M45 on G35 Sedan Thread HERE:

https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-sedan-v35-2003-06/208797-calling-out-sedans-m45-wheels.html

a 5mm spacer will work. 5mm is close. I bought 4 (one for each wheel -- my rationale is that if I am changing the factory specs I might as well do it evenly). I'll update this thread with my results.

UPDATE
RESULT = SUCCESS

I'm looking to run the same setup, have the same question about offsets as well, I was going to go with 16 because that's the lowest that rims I want come in

Going to lower my car on BC coils tomorrow about an inch and a half, I know I need a camber kit and alignment. But right now I can't afford it so I'm wondering how long I could get away with just dropping it without any of that. I don't drive my car as much as most people do and I'm eventually going to get the kit I just can't afford it right now.

^ Well, if you don't drive it that much you should be ok for awhile.. Your rear tires are going to get inner camber wear quicker than you think... If you plan on going lower than that you might as well be prepared to spend money on tires as quick as they bald... An alignment isn't going to help so much when you slam it. Especially if you want that right look.. You better have some disposable cash for tires when your slammed... But if you want to stay as low as your talking about and have your tires last an alignment would benefit you and your tires... Assuming you have a rear camber kit with toe bolts installed...

Thanks for the reply tyke, I can definitely afford an alignment, it's the camber kit that will kill my wallet, so I guess I'll just drop it and get an alignment now and then get a camber kit in the next few months

Well that's the thing, the alignment isn't going to help unless you get the camber kit with new toe bolts and dremel out where the toe bolt goes too give you that much more adjustment.. The SPC kit comes with the stencil you put over your toe bolt location and you get a magic marker and fill it in and dremel it out bigger... Thats the only way an alignment will help you... There is no sense in getting an alignment then installing your rear camber kit with toe bolts and getting another alignment... There is a DIY on the SPC rear camber kit install, if I were you I'd definitely read up on that...
