UNEVEN TIRE WEAR AFTER LOWERING

man big problem ive had my spring in for about 7 months and the inside of both front tires are balding. at the time there was only a camber for the rears which i purchased and installed but there was nothing for the front. could it be that the meachanic could have adjusted the camber improperly or that maybe he never adjusted it at all? i assume you can adjust it a little even fr4om stock. i am pretty sure he just istalled the springs (Sprint) and didnt mess with the toe in or toe out. please help. thanks RX

How much did the springs drop the car? If more than 1 inch then most likely you will need camber adjustments all around.

Re: UNEVEN TIRE WEAR AFTER LOWERING

When the car is lowered the mechanics don't really touch the camber. They just put the new springs on and take it off of the lift. I don't know if, or really think, the coupe comes with stock camber adjusters. If it does you can just adjust it yourself or have your mechanic do it. If not yoou will have to find a camber kit and have that installed. I lowered my coupe 1.2 inches all around and I have not had any uneven tire wear.

Need to know if you drive a coupe or sedan to give you the right specs.

Hopefully I did this right. It's for an 03 but it should be the same.

Sorry to hear that man.

I have over 20k miles on my wheels and the wear is even. Even when my fronts are out of spec.

Everyone talks about camber, don't forget toe'ing problems. Having an out of spec toe is far worse than having perfect camber.

Get you car aligned when you get your new tires.

Re: UNEVEN TIRE WEAR AFTER LOWERING

Do you guys think there would be uneven tire wear lowered on 20's?

6 MT, Navi, Brembo's, spoiler, 20 inch GT-C's, sunroof, spoiler, crap and more crap.

Re: UNEVEN TIRE WEAR AFTER LOWERING

I lowered my car 1.2 with the Eibach Pro Kit for the Sedan. I have 19" ROH Modena's. In the fron they ar 19x9 and the tires are 255/35/19. The rear is 19x10 and the tires are 275/35/19. I have had no tire wear problems as of yet. Almost a year since I made the mods.

EuroG35

Regarding your qustion on alignment cost. I recently had a 4-wheel alignment on my Acura TL at Sears for 59.99. Sears basically adjusts toe, and no more.

I also recently had my G35 coupe aligned at the dealer for $89.99. I didn't get a chance to talk with the tech that actually did the work, so I don't know exactly what was done, or would be done if required, for that price.

Hope this helps.
