Help Tires wore super fast!!!

Anyone ever have a set of brand new tires go out on them in 3500 miles? For example, I bought a new set of 4 Falken FK 452's 2 months ago, put 3500 miles on them, the 2 fronts are at 10/32's and the 2 rears are at 4/32's ................. 6/32 of tread blown thru in 3500 miles?????? Camber is not off, toe is not off, wear is even on the tires and I have not done any burn outs or roasted the tires off....

I've been to the tire shop where I got the tires and the sales manager is baffled as to why the rears are so low... he is affraid that if he eats the cost of 2 new tires on the rear and replaces them, would it happen again and if so then he looks stupid.

Any tips? Anyone know of any silent recalls?

Any possible reasons as to why this would happen? Other than burnouts and alignment?

The DOT mold number says they were manufactured in the 43rd week of 2008.

They suposedly came out of the same batch of tires and same mold.

yes 300 treadwear rating if i remember correctly, but thats a made up number by the manufacturer. Although it is generally used as a guideline for tire wear prediction.

They don't have a mileage guarantee and they are a Y rated tire.

The fronts have 10/32' left on them but the rears are at 4/32 im baffled, I'd be honest and say I did burnouts if I did them but I did not.

To be honest, it sounds like you got a bad batch!
I have 452's on my sedan with 34 thousand miles on them. Granted, I drive mostly highway and I probably should have replaced at least the rears 3000 miles ago...

Something ain't stirrin the coolaid!!

Hey I have the same problem as you. My new rear tires completely worn out to bald in 2000 miles. All the alignments are good and I don't do fast or do any burning out at all. I took it to many shop but no one can find out what caused this super fast tire wear. How is your car now? Did you fix that issue? If so please let me know what was it and how did you fix it please. I don't want to buy new set of tires every 2000 miles please.
