OEM 18" wheel weight

So I've searched and searched but I cannot find the weights of the 10-spoke 18" rims from 05-06 sedans w/ sport package. If anyone knows, please enlighten.

Uhhhh, those rims you have in that picture are 19's... Unless they made 18" forged Rays for the Sedans that I've just never come across before.

Those are 18"s...trust me I have them. They look just like coupe forged 19"s.

Pic of my car with them:

The weight given is with tires on it. Not sure if its 100% accurate, but seems pretty reliable.

I saw another post (can't find it now) where the guy weighed these rims with tires and got 51lb....maybe they were different tires.

So I guess I can ballpark the rims to be 23-25lb. Still would be nice to get exact specs...maybe I'll weigh them next time I change tires.

Stock sport rims. Look just like the Rays though.

Hey Rostasteve, I was in the same boat as you a couple of weeks ago. Except I was trying to find the weight of my 18" 7 spoke rims that came with my 2003.5 G35 6MT Coupe. I tried Googleing, called several Infiniti dealers up, and even called Infiniti Consumer Affairs and came up with no answer. I finally found the answer on Ebay of all places. I searched for my rims and asked several of the sellers what they weighed. I finally found out that my rims weigh 25lbs. Hope you find your answers on Ebay like I did.

Old post I know, but this info is like pulling teeth to find. I weighed everything I had, which includes the 2004 MY OEM 18's and the NISMO LMGT4 Rays in 19", with and w/o tires.

The 19" OEM Rays are closer to 21/22. NISMO LMGT4 Rays which are a little wider weight 21/22, also. The LMGT4 Rays in 18's are 18.3 lbs, darn light. So 18 and change for these Rays is probably right on the money.

As for 2003.5 Coupe wheels those are the same as my 2004 OEM wheels, they are a porky 24/25 lb in 18". With the original tires mounted there was a 2 lb difference front to rear, 42 lbs and 44 lbs, margin of error though about 1-2 lbs with the tires on. I weighed them 3 times on a pretty basic scale and averaged the numbers (with tires, the OEM Michies).

24 lbs is pretty heavy IMHO for a OEM Sport Package 18" wheel, they did much better with the next gen wheels - except they should have made the 19" rears 9-9.5" so you could more easily mount a little bigger tires. Keeping the 245/45/18 rear on a 8" or 8.5" was a mistake IMHO.

3 lbs of rotating weight...times four corners, it really makes a noticeable diff.

Thanks for weighing. Sport 18 weights should be added to the wiki.
24lb for the sport 18" is on the heavy side, especially since they're only 7.5" wide. To make everyone feel better, my "new" BMW 330 came with BMW Sport 18"s that weigh in at 28lb!
