Question about 2004 7-spoke rims

I need new front tires for my car. Currently I'm running 245/45 on back and 225/45 on the front. From what I understand my wheels are the same width... is there anything I should be aware of before I put 245/45's on the front? I want to do this so i can rotate my tires front to back... Seems to me like the sidewall will be slightly higher on the front over the stock size... will I have an issue with VDC?

Thanks in advance...

it will be slightly higher in the front... just about 2.6% different. I would run 235/35/18 since its right down the middle. they're 1.3 smaller than rear and 1.3 larger than front...

yes, the VDC will kick in with all 4 tires being the same size on the coupe. You need to maintain a staggered setup. I believe the current stock tires are 2.7% difference in overall diameter between front and back.

Going with 245/45/18 in the front, you'll need to change the size on the rear to either a slighty wider or slighty taller to compensate the staggered ratio.

you can run 245/45 all around and be fine.

I ran 235/40 all around and it was fine, never had an issue with VDC except when I pushed it. Now 235/40 front and 245/45 rear had some issues...not recommened and it was only temporary for me.

I plan on using 245/45/18 all around for my winter setup, but hopefully on slightly wider wheels than OEM

I'm tempted to try it being that firestone has a 30day money back guarantee... Anyone else have any success with this?

Its pretty clear to me from everyone's post here that it will not work, atleast not the way you want it to.
