Smile help with offsets??

hey guys,

i'm still pretty new to the forum. i just got my 1st g35 yesterday. its an '05 coupe with the 19" oem premium wheels. until i can save up to get a new set of wheels, i was wondering if anyone can suggest the measure to aggressively offset my current set of wheels. i think i'm just going to paint them and put the offsets on to hold me off until i can afford some new wheels.

thanks,
jessica

Welcome to driver

Here is my setup on my OEM's. In the same boat with ya building funds for some aftermarket shoes

https://g35driver.com/forums/northwe...chaaanges.html

As you'll see the 20mm/25mm f/r spacer setup lends nicely to our OEM's If you do the spacers I also recommend the DIY:

https://g35driver.com/forums/v36-diy...ation-fix.html

If you drop your car lots of folks like the 25mm/25mm spacer setup but I think this will do for now

Search around for more pix of the diff spacers, someone I saw a while back was rockin 30mm's! so just find the one you like best!

I would start playing around with spacers on your OEM 19's first. That way, when its time for you to buy some wheels, you don't spend a ton of $$$ on offsets that are not what you were looking for. That should give you a good reference point.

Try 25mm all around. Just make sure they are quality hub-centric spacers

Here are some closer before/after shots, is this what you're looking for? or are you looking for the bigger spacer shots?

Hope these help

hmmm.. what do you guys think of 30mm/35mm offsets? i only found this through a forum search but not photos what so ever...

i dont think the 20mm/25mm will make my wheels sit completely flush with the fenders..

Depends are you planning on lowering the car any? If so how much... then do you want to flare your fenders or just roll? When you get you wheels do you want to have fat tires or stretched? All this will determine what you should go with to give you an idea of fitment when you want to order wheels down the road.

i want to lower but not much at all, maybe a couple of inches at the most. and as for the wheels, i'm still unsure of what i'm looking for. i'm trying not to overload myself with a lot, theres a few necessities that need to be done before getting new shoes. right now i gotta get my rear brakes done and a left rear tire pretty bad. i'm just trying to get something to get rid of the tuck
