Yes they do!!! Went and double checked in my garage. If you look under your car you can see the ones on the rear swaybar. They are silver in color. The real question is how important these are and what are the impacts of not having them?

Here is another pic of the front where the bushing is located. You can't really tell from the pic but there is a bracket the is holding the bushing in place. The poly bushing will keep the sways from being off center. Believe me on this once you tighten the bolt down on the bracket that sway bar is not going to go anywhere. Having the colar there will not really matter at this point.

i think theyre important!
if theyre on the stock ones, AND on Eibach, AND on Stillen, AND on Nismo, why not on Hotchkis?? and is that why theyre so much cheaper than the other ones??
i might just sell my hotchkis and buy the Stillens... what do you think???

Ok, I am no expert, and my background is not in engineering, but I believe the collars are there to keep the bar from sliding laterally. I think this feature makes the bar more effective. I believe some of the stiffer qualities of the Hotchkis are cancelled out by some, however miniscule, lateral movement of the bar under load. But then again I could be full of @$%&!

The collar on the Stillen bars are not silver, but the same
color as the rest of the bar. I have the Stillen bars, installed
at the tightest settings. The car handles like stock when
driving casually. But when you get on it in the turns, MAN
it handles better. It is like it is on rails during high speed
turns. I love them!

I too have the Hotchkis bars. I ran Medium up front (middle setting) and soft in the rear (last setting).
i like the overall feel and the rear isn't too stiff. I have a good 120lbs of stereo stuff in the trunk too, so I didn't want it too stiff. I'm sure either bar is good, but I'm very happy with my choice, and setup.

They prevent body roll and help the tires stay more squarely planted on the road. If you have a lot of understeer and get a stiffer rear sway bar it can correct this problem by letting the rear end kick out a little. If you have a lot of oversteer (*** is all over the place) you can get a stiffer front sway bar and even it up a little by overloading the front tires a little. The adjustable features of the aftermarket sways allows a person to tune his/her suspension to specific settings to meet their driving needs and setup (staggered wheels or not/lowered or not) etc... And yes there is such a thing as too stiff.

Swaybars do not affect ride. They make the car handle corners better. When you corner hard you can feel the car 'lean' to the side. Like it wants to tip over (it slides before it ever comes close to tipping). Upgrading to stiffer sway bars keeps the car more flat through corners. They do not let the car 'lean' as much. The car will feel more like its on rails.
Swaybars connect the left suspension arm to the right one. When the whole car moves up and down the bars just move with the car. But when you corner and it leans to one side, one arm wants to go up and the other wants to go down, thus effectively twisting the bar. The stiffer the bar is, the harder it is to twist. The swaybar tries to hold left and right together and not let them move opposite of eachother.
Keeps the car flatter.
