FWIW, I decided to Google search "how much do Work Varianza T1S weigh?" - low & behold the very first return was a forum with the first post mentioning weight
what are the odds
(19X8.5 weigh 25.6 #) - I know, I know, it means nothing... I just though it was apropos (besides, I get a free pass for getting the wheel choice right)

Mike's poll shows the results for a very, very specific audience. (ie.. people care about weight) I'd still say most don't considing what people are actually riding on but that's antother thread.
Both the statement and Mike's poll are true. But they are illustrating two very different things and really can't be related to each other.
Both statements come from different contexts.
