help with tire pressure sensor

hi to all,

i was wondering if anyone can help me out with the tps light on the cluster. ive been rolling around with my 19s (245/35, 275/30) for about 6 months now with plenty of tread and out of no where the light just turned on. not once since ive put my wheels on has the light came on. ive put more air in the tires and the light is still on. its been on for 2 days now. is there a way i can reset the light. btw ive disconnected the battery as well, still there. i know it wont harm anything but it just bugs the hell out of me everytime i look at the cluster and its lit up. any ideas would be help full thanks.

gg

So you installed your old TPS in your new 19's? What psi are each of your tires?

Then you will have to live w. the warning light ... at least until a way to gracefully disable the system is found. The computer does check the status of ALL sensors periodically. If no answers are received due to either damaged or missing sensors, the warning light is illuminated. I'll go away after sometime.

Or you can open up the gauge cluster and remove the light bulb. Damn did I just suggest that? Disregard!!!

Just a comment on your post - you stated that your tires where at max psi today??? A tire is not designed to have the stated amount (on side wall) of maximum pressure - and bve driven around - very unsafe... but maybe I misunderstood...

Re: help with tire pressure sensor

yeah i was kinda surprised it went on after 6 months. i was expecting it to go on when i first put the wheels on because i know the recommend tire size for the rear wheels is suppose to be 275/35 and im running a 30. oh well im on my stocks now gona run them for a few days than put the 19s back on to see if the light stays off. lolz
