Tried a search but couldn't find an answer, so I apologize in advance if this has been asked before and/or it's a stupid question. If I change the rims on my 04 G35X and don't install the pressure sensor monitors, will the warning light come on?

From people that have tried it, eventually the light may come on, but you shouldn't hear a buzzer. You can just ignore the light.

Wait so how do you hook up the TPM to new wheels/tires?
Does it have to be done before or after mount&balancing?
Because if I order a set of wheels & tires already M&B'd how would I hook it up?
Thanks.

Also note that not all aftermarket wheels can accept the OEM psi montors (they mount on the valve stem internally).
For example Volks , Gram Lights , etc are "not" compatible. So if you want to retain them, ask your wheel dealer fro a recommendation.

So, the thread kind of changed from what happens to how do I install them. All I want is a definitive answer as to whether I will have to look at a warning light all the time. Thanks

Here's the bottom line ...
1. Leave the Sensors OUT entirely: Little warning light on the dash will illuminate every so often (not a big annoyance at all). There will be NO annoying buzzer either.
OR
2. Mount the sensors into the new wheels. The system will function normally as it use to. No warning light or buzzer, unless of course there's a low/high pressure condition.
#2 will require the sensors lie relatively flat to the wheel surface when mounted. Otherwise the internal centrifugal switch will not function properly. Chances are, if the valve stem sits at approx. 40-deg. angle ... you'll be fine.

It's part of the valve stem ... no attachments required.
