Sorry for the noob question but I've read multiple opinions on this topic. If I put 5mm spacers on my front wheels is it necessary to use the extended lugs? After all 5 mm is only .196850393701 inches. I have 5Zigen Gravis 1s if that needs to be added into the equation.

Tim I needed extended lugs when I added a 5mm spacer up front. Not sure if my BBK factored into it at all as well, but I couldn't get the 7 or 8 turns of the lug nut that I think is recommended.

^^^BBK wouldn't affect that. Spacers larger than 3mm should use extended lugs on our cars.

Thanks guys that's what I suspected. Have to get the correct tires on the rims this weekend and I'll be able to figure out what I need. Might be up to 15mm which would mean I could get the V2s with the built in studs.

If your rims are flat in the back where it bolts up to the hub, you may have to cut the OEM studs so the rim will sit flush....something to look into/consider if you wind up getting the 15mm spacers with the built in studs. All OEM wheels have the "pockets" to clear the studs that stick out but some aftermarket wheels don't.

Thats what I had to do. Cut off like .25" of my stock studs so they wouldnt go past the spacer and prevent the rim from seating on the hub properly. Im running 10mm in the rear. The thinner the spacer the more likely hood the stock studs will stick out too far.

Thanks Papa, my 5zigen do have the pockets which will allow me to go built in. I made sure I looked at that when I bought them. I did have to buy hub centric rings though for the rims. They didn't come with any.

My wheels have pockets also but I still have to grind down the OEM studs.

^^With the 10mm spacer you definitely need to if you're running the v2. Blue Dream is referring to 15mm and he should be fine with those.
