um you realize that the only reason to run aggressive wheels with narrow tires would be looks right There is no reason to do it other then looks..lol

I think what he means is stretching tires comes from fitting aggressive wheels rather than just throwing stretched tires, by themselves, for the stretched tire look.

yes I know, but that is still for looks, just the looks of the wheels rather then the tires with the lip protruding

It is for looks; but putting stretched tires on non-aggressive wheels doesn't look right to me either. I think he just means people putting on stretched tires for the stretched tire look is lame but when you do it on aggressive wheels, it's for the looks of the wheel rather than the stretched tire. If I didn't have aggressive wheels, there's no way I would run stretched tires, not worth it to change my tires everything few thousand miles just for the stretched tire look.

Don't you stretch according to tire to wheel "ratios"?

Yea what dre is saying is that is you have a stock height coupe running +30 offsets and aggressively stretched tires to be part of the stretch tire crowd, you're an idiot.

Most people adhere to the recommended tire size (for a given wheel width) as published by the tire maker's specifications.

i think he means the maximum recommended wheel width for the tire

like putting a 225/45-17 on a 17x8.5..although I think people do usually go a bit more extreme then that

actually go research some more, people stretch to fit aggressive wheels the rest are people who don't know anything about fitment much like yourself
